• Participant group names and members

We do not collect:

• Device identifiers for tracking purposes

• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Advertising identifiers (IDFA)
• Any data from third-party services

How We Use Your Information

All data in Time2Split is used solely for:

• App Functionality: Creating, managing, and splitting bills among participants
• OCR Processing: Extracting text from receipt images using on-device Vision framework
• Currency Formatting: Displaying amounts in your preferred currency format
• Local Storage: Keeping your bills, participants, and groups in SwiftData on your device

Your data is NEVER:

• Sent to external servers
• Shared with third parties
• Used for advertising or marketing
• Used for tracking or analytics
• Accessible to us (the developers)

Data Security

Local Storage Only

All data is stored using Apple's SwiftData framework:

• Files are stored in the app's secure sandbox
• Data is protected by iOS file protection
• No cloud synchronization or external storage
• No remote database connections

On-Device Processing

• OCR text recognition uses Apple's Vision framework entirely on-device
• No receipt images are sent to external servers for processing
• Image pre-processing (grayscale, contrast, sharpening) happens locally
• All bill calculations are performed on-device

Data Retention

• Active Bills: Stored indefinitely until you choose to delete them
• Participant Groups: Stored until you remove them
• Receipt Images: Stored as part of the bill record until the bill is deleted
• Deletion: When you delete a bill, all associated items, participants, and assignments are permanently removed

Your Rights and Control

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: You can view all your bills, participants, and groups at any time
• Modification: You can edit bill details, items, participants, and assignments
• Deletion: You can delete any bill or participant group at any time
• Export: You can share bill summaries via the iOS share sheet
• Complete Removal: Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all local data

Third-Party Services

Time2Split does not integrate with, transmit data to, or receive data from any third-party services, including:

• Analytics services
• Advertising networks
• Cloud storage providers
• Social media platforms
• Payment processing services

Children's Privacy

Time2Split does not knowingly collect or store any personal information from children. The app is designed for general use and does not require any age verification or personal information.

Permissions

Time2Split requests the following iOS permissions:

Camera Access

• Purpose: To capture photos of receipts for automatic item extraction via OCR
• Usage: Only accessed when you explicitly choose to scan a receipt
• Processing: Images are processed on-device using Apple's Vision framework

Photo Library Access

• Purpose: To import existing receipt photos for OCR scanning
• Usage: Only accessed when you explicitly choose to import a receipt image

Photo Library Add Usage

• Purpose: To save receipt captures to your photo library
• Usage: Only when you explicitly choose to save a receipt image

All permissions are optional and only used when you initiate the corresponding action.

Data Storage Location

All data is stored locally on your iOS device:

• Framework: Apple SwiftData (SQLite-backed)
• Protection: Files are protected by iOS file protection and app sandboxing
• Isolation: Data is sandboxed and inaccessible to other apps

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in:

• The "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
• App updates that include the revised policy
• Notification within the app (for significant changes)

Your continued use of Time2Split after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

International Users

Time2Split is designed for use worldwide with support for 30 currencies. Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• No data crosses international borders through our app
• No data is stored on servers in any jurisdiction
• All data protection is handled by your device's iOS security
